This Tiny Fragile World

‘This Tiny Fragile World’ watercolour with gold leaf detailing. Everything around us us transient…nothing lasts forever so we need to be open to appreciating the wonder in this right here, right now lifetime. It’s never easy to completely switch off and tune in to our surroundings….but…I create my artwork to offer a moment, a place to be that allows that to happen. As you look in to one of my paintings there’s a sense of peace. My colours are soft and harmonious, subject matter…dear to my heart…my heart is my art. I never over prepare a painting, they instinctively evolve as I see what marks I’ve made on the page and what I feel should follow. Each painting tells a wee story. I’m not a performer, I’m quite a quiet person and I find my art is like a form of communication for me.

I love this painting…whenever I look at it, I feel calm ….at its core it’s a gentle work with a nice balance of sparkle and movement.
